I’m not a fan of hexing; I think hexing is cowardly and a form of assault, but I see people asking for help against it, so I thought it would be a good idea to show how one way to protect against a hex.
Several months ago, a wasps’ nest at the top of one of our trees in the backyard blew down. It was abandoned, so I felt safe scooping it up and bringing it inside to dry, knowing how I could use it in my craft. Wasps sting (often repeatedly), kill honey bees, and steal (honey, in most cases – the bee’s food). The nest is a perfect representation of someone we want to deflect.
When doing spells for protection, the common practice is to use sharp objects as wards, such as nails, pins, tacks, etc. The spell in this photo isn’t just for protection; it’s for deflecting a hex and sending it back to whoever sent it to you in the first place. I added a railroad spike, an obsidian sphere, a sprig of holly, an evil eye talisman, and a black anointed candle. Most importantly, a mirror to deflect all negativity back to the sender. Arrange everything to be seen in the mirror.
Writing your own spell words is always best if you can, and they can be as simple as the following:
“The mirror deflects
The mirror protects
My mirror rejects
My mirror protects”
Repeat this several times until it becomes like a mantra. You can also take photos of your items to keep the spell going by looking at them later and repeating your mantra. You’ll know when it’s time to stop. The magick is complete.
