This occult shop was once the focal point of the New York esoteric scene. Herman Slater and his partner, Eddie Buczynski first opened their shop in Brooklyn before moving to NYC in the 1970s. After the two partners passed away, the shop eventually closed, however, Slater’s spell book (which I highly, highly recommend) can still be purchased at the above link. Magickal Childe was famous for their over-the-top rituals in the back of the shop and the publishing of the infamous Necronomicon.
